A (hopefully) new take on mobile phones in a shop. It's annoying when the customers insist in having a fairly innocuous conversation when being served - even as another customer, I can totally appreciate that on behalf of the servers.

But, when the person on the phone is actually the person serving, & continues the conversation through the ring-up process, then just holds their hand out for the payment-. Although I can see on the till how much I owe, I'm always tempted to ask if they have so-and-so, just so they actually have to speak to me - the customer. Depending on how good a day I've had, I often do (spread the joy, I say).

Who said 'the customer is always right'?

That's a myth. The customer is frequently wrong.

We could do a much better job without customers regularly interrupting.
