On the other hand, people who hoard and collect them obsessively.
No, no, no. Much better to take the Bic Crystal approach. Give them to people, forget where they are, let 'em all circulate so we'll all have a few but never the same ones.

Apachma, P.U.D.D.I.N.G. stands for People United in Defence of Depression, Irritability and Natural Grumpiness. They're here on h2g2 at A749784 , or you can click on the 'I'm a Portion of P.U.D.D.I.N.G.' badge on my space.
Yes, I'm a member of that little club, despite being a Cheerful dragon. All should become clear if you visit their page.

True. Obsessive collectors of any sort are terribly boring people. They only have the one interest...

I agree on both counts on comics. I have a fair collection of comics myself. But until recently I lived with a guy who brought every conversation back to Marvel comics.
Comics related pet-hates of mine:
People who only like comic characters after they've been in a big film or TV show.
People who always go on about how the comic book format isn't just for children, but never read anything except the mass-marketed, stuff that Marvel and DC come up with.

Petty hate of the day: German companies putting bad English slogans or descriptions on their products. My shower gel is allegedly "happyful"-scented, and some company was advertising their tracksuits with the slogan "innovation in pants"

The fact that it can be understood despite all the jumbled letters is sort of the point.
Petty Hate for the day is hangers-on. People who like having the image of being a...poet, say, without bothering their arses to write a poem.

Interestingly I always stubble on the third word as it doesn't actually make anything, it can't be research as there is at least an extra CH in there, but what other valid word that begins with R, ends with H could it be?

I get teed off when you download music *supposedly* by a certain artist, to find it's actually a really bad cover version.

The number of questions ordering a coffee entails. It's exhausting!
Small, medium or large?
Milk?
Sitting in or taking away?
Do you have one of our little loyalty cards?
Would you like one? You'll get your tenth coffee free...
Would you like anything else with it?
When that's all fired off at me first thing in the morning, I feel like I should be accompanied by my solicitor before even thinking about answering!

to get back to Mala's point about the German companies (or Germans generally) using English words to funky up their slogans...
The FDP is a serious (quiet in the cheap seats!) political party. And they have me because every morning when I drive to work the main road is littered (every lamp-post has the poster) with one of their posters for the elections on 30th August.
That, in itself (the posters, not the elections - it's one I'm allowed to vote in) is a nuiscance because I think it distracts traffic.
No no no
The really annoying thing is the poster. A diary open on the page for 30th August, and it says (in handwritten German) "vote for the FDP".
So far so good.
But in big letters at the top of the poster it says (in English) "Save the Date"
No no no no.
Make it stop.
Key: Complain about this post
