Are those ones pipe-delimited?

I don't think they have the trimbles, they rely on counter evolution to prevent sponting.

Course, it won't matter if you just use it for egg-nog.

Unless of course parts of them are dissolved by alcohol

Speaking of alcohol, has any one of you tried the trick with 7% of that in the repellant mix for the 82-model under-saddle tea bruner?

the under saddle device is devilry itself, a fiendish contraption designed to catch out even the most experienced. In my experience the 7% mix trick merely adds a degree of temporal uncertainty to inevitable injuries and embarrassment it causes. One for the sort of people that like to gamble with life, I feel.

Sounds like you had to strip it down and reassemble. I hope you used 7/36 emery buds to degauss it otherwise you'll be doing it all again next January.

Greasing the throttle-valve contrapuntally is of course the most important thing to do

I tried coating it in graphite, I know they say there's a fire danger but I don't run mine at high speeds. Most of the time I'm having to start it manually nowadays to be honest.

Am I the only one who needs to pull that wire to get it started?

smiley - eureka There's a wire? I have terrible trouble starting mine, but everytime I take it to Mackintyres and Bodgett repairers shop it starts first time and they give me the look. smiley - bigeyes

Sure there is - just like those old boat motors! Just wrap the wire round the spindle, and tug hard at the toggle at the end of the wire. The putt-putt-putt when it starts up is very satisfying.

It's darn inconveniently placed and hidden a little out of the way, though. But open the coverflap, to snap open the lock to extend the spindle, and you should be ready to go.

Speaking of that spindle, does anyone know where to get a 2.5 inch orange chromium spring with insulated ends for it?

What to do?

Post 275

Icy North

Oh, you want to take that insulation off before you install it, otherwise it'll pink like nobody's business.

Funny, I've never seen that. My factory-installed under-the-saddle-contraption most certainly came with the orange insulators installed and on. And nary a bit of pink.

Yours must be the Korean model then. Mine is not insulated, however hidden beneath the diamond plated hatch on the starboard side so as to prevent electrical shock. Do NOT open the hatch while the engine is running!

Best way to check the tuning opening the hatch - just wear goggles and be sure to wear gloves too.

Just had to share this. It's important to sned off any nibs before you apply Rustin's Danish Oil.

There, I've shared it. smiley - smiley
