Yes, but does anyone know what 'deja vu' actually means?

definitely "deja entendu"...
[then again it was in another thread ages ago...]
naaaaaah... me thinks everyone is meditating on the true meaning of "deja vu"... like proper "deja vu-ists" should do...
i'm meditating too at the mo'....
on the fact that this thread is already over 400 posts...
who said that miracles don't exist?!...

WHAT DO YOU MEAN SOME PEOPLE ETC?!...
oh right... i didn't see the bit saying you didn't mean me...
i did realise tho' that a question [even rhetorical] about miracles existing or not could have brought lots of "deja vu" comments, that's why i went and insisted that it was a rhetorical question... can't be too careful these days...
imagine what could have happened if i hadn't precised the rhetorical aspect of the question: 100s of serious postings suddenly appearing in this thread and taking us away from our quest to find the true meaning of "deja vu"...
catastrophe is not a word strong enough to describe that kind of situation...
talk soon...

Afternoon researchers of the Penultimate Question!
My little joke, y'see. Then when we get to the Ultimate Question we can all say "gosh, I've a weird feeling I've experienced this before"!
So, how is the research going? Like Loup I've been meditating on the conundrum that is deja vu, but I fear I'm no closer to an answer, but I did have a very strange experience this morning. As I lay in bed, my Significant Other being on a pissup in a Continental location, I had the feeling that he had come home early, but not only that, that I had also had this feeling before.
Having rushed to stash the sex toys out of sight and clear up all evidence of last nights solitary imbibement, I realised in my half sleep that it was just a half dream prompted by the sound of the Observer arriving on the doormat. Then I was overcome a second time by the sensation that this had happened before.
DOUBLE DEJA VU! Whoa!

re: counting to 1000... i know the feeling
yep... not an easy topic and it usually ends in names calling... the masked one's involvement in the "discussion" doesn't help either and is definitely practising some "deja vu-ism" there...
his arguements are so similar to the ones i had to challenge the first time i quoted on that subject...
re: t.sarah... she unfortunately thinks that we're all like the unmentionable one... hopefully she will eventually realise that we are not...
and of course we gonna see a few "new usernames" coming to support the masked one... very messy and very "deja vu" indeed... like "already seen/experienced" again and again...
guess how many times i had to count up to 1000 when i noticed that the word immigrants was now being used in the "debate"... it's lucky that i know most of the regulars there...
unfortunately i also know the unmentionable one's ideas and he must think he is winning at the mo', which might bring him a big surprise when i'm tired of counting up to 1000 again and again...
pity i haven't got much time to quote during the day and because of that can't reply properly to the masked one... then THAT would definitely be the ultimate "deja vu"...
talk soon...

Have I missed something? I'm sure I've read all of this thread, but I can't be a*sed to go and look again...
The masked who?
*confused*

St Romani Angel Guardian of Crystals. Minister of Coffee now on the decaff!! Posted Dec 8, 2002
yes I have to agree its a topic that seems to keep coming round again & again definately a deja vu
its also a topic which I am tired of commenting on, but t.sarah is I think being rather abusive with the regulars that is the only reason I commented on the subject & said what I thought I think the brat needs teaching a lesson in manners
unfortunately I'm also not in a position to quote in the day with working so I think things could get even more heated now that masky is in the picture......shame really I was pleased to see masky back in there again.....
