Moral Dilemma [although quite a nice one :)]

Did we ever find out what happened?

I don't think we did.
Come on B, we want results!

I think I did make my intentions clear earlier in the backlog - that I wasn't going to go through with it.
Besides, I pulled someone else while camping this weekend.

Master B! Leave those Brownies alone. You have been warned!

As in ex-Scouts and ex-Guides - hopefully to be future-Scout Leaders and future-Guide Leaders.
It's a way of keeping the Organisations together when everyone gets too old to be a Venture Scout, and clears off to University.

Plus, they drink like fishes, and have the world's largest collection of dirty campfire songs.

And I though we were bad when *I* was a scout- not that I was, of course...

Master B, I put it to you that your attendance at this 'jamboree' was primarily because of the available women on tap. Baden-Powell would be shocked, horrified and then shocked again.

Well, I am a regular on these events - I've been to about 12 straight of them now. The women are a prime factor, but I have lots of male friends there who I'd never see otherwise.
Didn't Baden-Powell endorse the molestation of Masai tribeswomen?

Probably. But fortunately the sun has set on that particular era.

It was an edition of C4's 'Reputations' series a few years back. Basically claimed BP set up the Scouts because he liked small boys. Don't really see it myself, but there you go.

The same accusation is slung at Lewis Carol (or whatever his real name is). I don't know whether to believe it or not. I'm quite happy to believe that none of it was true, and the world is a happy place. On the otherhand, geious is often marked by a deficit in other areas, or have a part of them that isn't 'normal' or something. You know what I mean.

Mu Beta Posted Nov 18, 2002
Oh no, Lewis Carroll was a confirmed dirty old man. Baden-Powell is mostly just hearsay.
