I went for a walk this afternoon and realised for the first time in a week that the wind wasn't freezing and that it was a delicious late summer afternoon.

Incog.

This might be getting a bit monotonous, but here goes anyway:

Clear blue sky, no wind, frost glittering in the sunshine - mmmmmmm... - it makes such a difference to my day if it starts this way, despite the fact that I woke up with a headache...

a quick backrub/massage and conversation at the favorite watering hole...she actually eased my sinus! no acetamophen or claritin or sinex tonight, just a quick massage after work and i can breathe with no headaches. (luckily, she laughed when i asked her to marry me, or i'd have worse than a sinus headache.)

I got...my first ever camcorder today, so I can catch some of the fleeting moments of my kids' toddlerhood (but in a mommy-sappy way)

Also..I found out that my sister landed herself in jail after calling and tattling on her boyfriend. Well SHE was the one throwing s**t! Why is this nice? Well, if nothing else, I can run around with that 'I thought *I* had a problem relationship' phrase in my head.

Of the last 24hrs...Went to see 'Play What I Wrote' in the West end..
Absolutely BRILLIANT

Being offered a possible job

Discovering ham is quite nice on a pizza

Having a pupil in my class pass a nice comment at the end as the kids were leaving the classroom

having the money to pay this month's bills...bad thing: sitting here staring at the checks and envelopes and not posting them. (i mean mailing them, signing and stamping, not 'posting' as in what i'm doing now...

Having the kids come round for halloween - the little ones who want sweets and toys and colouring books, who are really a bit scared at the fact there's scary music in the house; then the older ones who are still making a bit of an effort* who just want money for fireworks but who are really quite exited when you offer them some mulled wine too, halloween's great, there should be more of it. And having my mate Tim round for a meal - a midnight feast in fact. The best yarn we've had in ages.



* and the chancers with their jackets pulled over their heads - quite scary really, the only other time you see that is when your about to be mugged.)

DOing a seminar type talk and not getting laughe at. In fact, being complimented to my face. Now that IS rare...

Having a day off work, the dog behaving (well) in the vet's.
