today? unfortunately, it was responding to the front page poll on what's good about sundays. i try to lead a very boring, simple life.
staring out the window at the whitecaps rolling on the lake, having a hawk just now soar past. simple pleasures.

There may be somthing wrong with me, but so far today it was leaving the flat to find a lovely chilly, bright sunshiny day ....shame i'm in London and have to work rather than wander the countryside. But it did cheer me up wonderfully!

First thing: Waking up, alive and well.

Second thing: Looking out of the window to see a clear blue sky and brilliant sunshine.

Third thing: Finding this conversation - it's put a smile on my face. (Thanks agcBen!!)

The _only_ thing that happened to me today is finding out that I didn't get that job I was after, which can hardly be classified as 'good'.

I found a good deal on a spa weekend and have booked it for my mum's birthday. She has been going on about doing this for about five years so I am really chuffed to sort it out. Can't wait for her birthday now so I can tell her with excitement...

best thing so far - it's a sunny day and I finish work early, 20 minutes left and counting. Plenty of time to add to the list though......

Difficult to tell what is the best thing that has happened to me today - it has been a pretty average day.

I guess it is giggling over a ciggie outside the building with my friend K - just like being back at school and behind the bikesheds. Not that we had bikesheds at school - but you know what I mean.

I think the best thing that's happened to me today is finally agreeing on a topic for a third year housemate and finding a supervisor who thinks that there's a good chance that it will get published if we do decent research.

today's best would definitely be being referred to www.cameltoe.org and laughing so hard the dawg got up and went into the next bedroom.

Had a lot of good things today.

I sat listened to the Upsetters album "77" for the first time today. Great record.

I had a meal with my friend Mandy, who i only see a couple of times a year.

I spoke to my partner, far away north of the border, on the phone.

Thought long and hard and can't think of one.Except perhaps I didn't actually decapitate anyone today which is as fluffy bunny as I can get today.Maybe tomorrow I can succeed.

It is early so better things may yet happen (I get to see the boyf tonight so who knows ) but so far, the best thing was the huge and perfect rainbow over the M4 as I drove to work.

I gave an EXCELLENT presentation on Dante in my World Lit class today.
