Whats the weather doing where you are?
Universal Granny Posted Feb 8, 2007
1823 Just south of Heathrow Airport
It was snowing heavily at 0330 this morning when I went to work, and I had to dig the car out of about 2 inches of snow. Snow did not stop until around 1100, so had to dig it out of about 4 inches to get home again!
All car roofs still have a layer about 3 inches thick (where it hasn't blown off with travelling, that is) this evening. A lot of snow still on the ground, although roads are turning slushy, but not clear (except where the gritters have been). Hope it doesn't freeze tonight because the roads are very wet, it will be lethal.
Is there any more forecast, do we know?

Well here in Fife we only had a dusting of snow last night, after it got a bit milder in the evening. It was still thee this morning, but soon melted away as the sun came out
It has been really cold of late, too cold for snow really. What surprised me is, why does the UK almost come to a standstill every time a rop of snow arrives? In my day we had snow drifts a few feet high, yet still tried our best to carry on as normal, and the schools hardly ever closed, worse luck
I remember driving up and down the A9 when I was working away from home, in terrible conditions, but we went well equipped for it, just in case
Then again, we all helped each other in those days, a thing you never see today
Smudger.

Happy Birthday Ballynac.
There was snow overnight and during the early part of the morning. During the rest of the day, the snow lowly disappeared from the pavements, and roofs. Some places still have snow and the weather forecaster said there will be snow overnight and the snow will from the south to the north.

We had a few inches of snow overnight and throughout the day, although we used to have loads more when I was younger. I don't see what all the fuss is about after all it is the begining of February not middle of June we should be expacting it!!!

The only snow that is left is on lawns and it is patchy. There was no overnight frost as predicted by the weather forecasters. It is still cold and there is a dampness in the air. I think yesterday will be the last time we will see snow this in Essex.

It rained yesterday (late afternoon/early evening), it then rained again throughout the morning. 2 pm I saw some sunshine but it did not last. It has been dry since but forecasted for more rain. Everywhere grass verges and greens are starting to look like swamps.

In Barnsley we had a small amount of snow yesterday, it turned to rain during the night, so it had all gone when we got up this morning.
