I am totally involved with solstice, coming in Northern Hemisphere on Tue next week: December 21! The longest night and than is over!
It is mild now, but it was very cold yesterday. In a few days perhaps we get some snow! That is no good news here!

This morning I could see as I walked down the garden path. There wasn't quite so much of a big black cloud overhead making it seem like the middle of the night as there has been for the past couple of days. Now it's just windy and wet, kind of usual for this time of year.

Beautiful sunny, brisk and crisp day here. Which makes a change from wet and windy. Shame I'll not get out before it gets dark....

Heaps of rain last week so the grass is still green and getting higher by the minute.
Sunny and 22C at the moment. We are expecting a high of about 30C before a late change this evening (although I can't see anything on the radar so that might not happen)

We are experiencing a most brutal cold with some snow. Yesterday was comfortable temperature , but at night suddenly dropped into - 15 Celsius. I am not going out, because it is icy, splippery many accidents are reported on the radio. Tomorrow is the time for Solstice. Blue Bird shivering with ruffeled feathers.

This morning a sharp frost. I had to remove a thick layer of frost from the car. Scraped until my hand was too cold then used spray. I had to spray the windscreen twice.

It's downright NIPPY out! Might even get into the low 40's F tonight. Weeeeeheeee! I got to wear a hat and scarf today. Granted, there were some people (probably tourists) wandering around in shorts and t-shirts, and still others who'd just gotten their furs from storage and were flaunting them. I looooove the nutty diversity here!
Anyway, cool, clear, crisp and breezy. Perfect holiday weather! Makes me want to host an impromptu fondue and mulled wine party. If it stays cool I might just *do* so when I'm off in another couple of days.

The hottest day in a long time this summer here in the Northeast of Brazil on the Eve of Christmas! 30°C but, thanks God, there is a fresh wind blowing in from the ocean. Happy Christmas all!
