A parody of the E.A.Poe's poem The Raven, called "Abort Retry Ignore", but I'm not posting it here as it would break the house rules.

John Naughton describes TCP/IP as being the Net's 'digital DNA', it's a vital and central part of the way the Internet deals with data. It evolved through the INWG after six years of intensive research. Whatever data is being sent is reduced to small packets rather than being sent in one complete package. Breaking the data down this way enables best possible use if the transmission capabilities of the network, for example sending a huge web page with graphics, sound and video would cause a bottleneck in the system if it was all sent at once. By breaking this down into smaller packets they can be routed whichever way is fastest, often by several different routes. TCP/IP protocols make this happen seamlessly, without the user even being aware of it.
Agh - that's part of an essay I'm trying to write - and not very happy with - on internet protocols. If anyone would like to improve on that feel free. You could of course redo the whole blasted thing for me...

a) Sick leave was surely certificated or Personnel would have been on the case a long time ago.
b) Any change to targets must be MUTUALLY agreed per appraisal handbook.
c) Any disciplinary should be properly advised etc.
d) What are the grounds for "instant dismissal"?
e) What element of the individuals behaviour constitutes gross misconduct? being ill?
