I'm searching for some more female answers to *honest* male statements like these:


"I bring you roses because I love you so much" - "Seems like you're having another woman"

"I really love your soft skin" - "I'm glad your're having connective tissue weakness, so your skin will age much faster than mine"

"You are so beautiful" - "Don't insult me, I know that I'm currently overweighted"

"Please iron my shirt" - "The slut next door you're flirting with surly won't even wash it"

If you regularly buy a lady flowers, she won't be suspicious. However, if suddenly completely out of the blue you arrive with a bunch of red roses, she will probably be suspicious.

If someone says I have beautiful soft skin, I always take as a compliment, the same goes if someone says I'm beautiful. I was always told to accept a compliment and never try to "put it down".

Having always been ordered to "iron my shirt", I would be very grateful if someone was polite enough to put a "please" infront of it.

So what is best: never buy her flowers?

What is best is to buy her flowers, tell her you love her and that she's beautiful, and show her that you love her all the time.

That type of response tends to come when people aren't consistent about such things, and do them when they've had an argument or when they're feeling guilty for something. Or else the woman is not used to being treated as if she's someone special and feels insecure in the relationship.

Well, as a matter of fact I precisely did that!

Could it be that women feel insecure when they themselfs did something they think was wrong, and project it on their partners?

Well, it's better to feel it. But women are not so good at feeling it. You can be good to them all the time and they don't even realize it. Then comes some bloke who is unfriendly as hell and they get crazy about him.

Ot can work the other way of course. I always thought that the statement 'treat em mean, keep em keen' has merit. It shouldn't but I've seen too many examples of it.

a lot of women are insecure about how they look so compliments are hard sometimes. I agree you should say something nice to them everyday. the I love you doesn't lose it's meaning the more you say it.

I think the roses aren't the most important. I mean everybody can buy the roses, there's nothing special in them. I care more about chestnuts or small stones or red maple leafs etc - the small and very unimportant things which have a secret message in it.
I had a friend once who brought only bedstraws to me and the bedstraws remind me him all the times I happen to see them, it makes my heart bleed.
What I mean by this speech is that roses and ironing etc have some tradition in it - both the questions and answers. The best way to show you care is the way you discovered by yourself.

From what little I have been able to learn about women...
Women like it when you put some thought behind the things you do for them. Flowers are nice to look at but any schlub can stop on the way home and pick some up at the expence of a couple bucks and 5 minutes of time, but it is a pretty mindless effort. Instead, if you are driving home past a field of wildflowers stop and pick some to make a bouquet of your very own, they appreciate that more.
My girlfriends favorite thing that I have done was when I left for work in the morning (while she was sleeping) I made tons of little post-it-notes with saying thingds like, I love you, your beautiful, some with a big red hearts on them, etc... and put them all over the house in places I knew she would find them, bathroom mirror, tooth brush, banister, refrigerator, on the door etc... When she got up she followed the trail of notes getting happier and happier. It took me no time at all, and cost me nothing (stole the post-it-notes from work) but she absolutly loved that I put some thought into making her happy.

Granted this doesn't work for every girl. Some girls just want real expensive gifts. The trick is finding out which one you have.
