Rules and Regulations:
Number 1: Only one vote per Researcher ID.
Number 2: Once cast, a vote cannot be re-cast or changed.
Number 3: Proxy voting shall not be allowed
Number 4: There is NO Rule number 4.
Number 5: Rule Number 2 is subject to change at the whim of the official vote counter.
Number 6: There are no regulations.
The judge retains the right to add to these rules as we go along. The judges decision is probably final, but correspondence will be entered into whenever I feel like it.

Could you explain rule #6 to me?
Perhaps I just don't understand, but it would appear to negate all the other rules.

Rule # 6 means that the rules are not regulated, and I can therefore do whatever I want and there is very little that anyone can do to stop me.
Proxy voting would be where a researcher showed up and announced that he/she has collected votes from various other researchers.
The only way to break Rule # 4 would be by trying to introduce a Rule # 4.

We've just found a dusty envelope containing a note written in Douglas Adams' own hand ...
... It clearly says, "I wish to place my vote for Lady Scott, a froody woman who truly knows where her towel is. ~ Signed Affectionately, DNA".

This clearly isn't voting by proxy. It's an absentee ballot if ever I've seen one!

And since it is DNA's... I propose it counts as say...
1.5000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 votes.

Well I see there other choices than just George Formby (who I have never heard of) and Liv Tyler (who is really, really hot)... So for the sake of argument and because The Princess Bride is one of the BEST movies ever made, I shall say Inigo Montoya!
"My name is Inigo Montoya, you have killed my father, prepare to die!"

The note is clearly *not* a forgery, ER. See? Right here in the corner ... it's been notorized and signed by witnesses, including his mother. We've had the FBI do an analysis and the Feds tell us it's a legal document, no funny business. The paper has genuooooine DNA fingerprints all over it, the ink has been traced to his favorite pen, and we have a photo of him holding up the note with a delighted look on his face. All evidence proves without a salmon of doubt that the note is real, and therefore, the vote is valid. So there.
And yes, as stated earlier by a thoughtful researcher, a vote by "The DNA" himself should count as more than one, in fact, it should count as several.
