Xan, they are, but in a different way. What we consider honesty feels awfully rude to some Asians. A brash "no" is not cricket, a "yes,but...and a " tells more than words. Not only with girls, it´s the same when talking business.

It´s annoying hearing sounds of amour from your flatmate´s room when you haven´t gotten anywhere for ages yourself.

I misread that as 'armour' :D I haven't gotten any armour for some time. My clankier friends don't know how lucky they are.

I just came back from a large party with several hundred people. Looking at how that went, I think I should give that Japanese girl another call.

Well, the Japanese girl didn´t seem to be interested in a third date. I´ve asked a chinese girl out over facebook, we´ll see what she says. I probably only have about 6 months left before leaving uni, the chances of finding a girl before then are looking quite bad. Which is annoying, as that was the main reason I went to uni in the first place.
