So, where does one find some nice friendly girls in Amsterdam then? And no the Red Light district is not an option. Not besides as a last resort anyway. But what places can you meet girls in here?
I was thinking about joining Greenpeace, since they have a headquarter here. And if it's true that it's 80% women it might be a good idea

Amsterdam is full of nice, friendly girls. If you throw and orange into the street you'll hit 3 of them, and two of those will be American college students.

Well, I'm looking for a better way to get in contact with them than throwing fruit. If I just meet them in the street I can say hi, and then it just dies from there. Don't really know how to get past that step.

May not be necessary, they all speak English in Amsterdam, evem the American college girls.

Well, I do think their language skills are a bit overrated.
I did have dinner with a bisexual guy yesterday though. Not that there was anything sexual or romantic about it.
I guess one of the things I do wrong is I think too highly of girls. I thought that if you give them a compliment they will just see right through you, and think you consider them stupid for thinking they'd fall for that. But maybe they just suck it up.

Self-defeating logic like that should be thrown out the window if it prevents you from giving compliments. If you think a girl is pretty, just say so.
