JWF: we are told the dog is a domesticated version of the wolf. So if they found a dog in the cave that means we had had them domesticated for a long time already. There is of course the possibility one of them was food, but you would propably find out. If the dog had eaten the human, the human bones would be spread over a large area. And if the human had ate the dog, the dog bones would probably be lying in a pile. And I think the proper term is paleoanthropologists. But "dirt diggers" will probably get their attention too.

Not to be confused with 'gold diggers' for which one must always watch out during one's quest for nice, friendly girls.

There is a theory that it was the domestication of dogs (or the dogs' domestication of humans?) that enabled us to have sufficient spare cranial capacity to develop spoken language, since the areas of the brain associated with smell and hearing could be allowed to shrink once we had an external early warning system.

But without speech how do you domesticate a dog? No "sit!", or "roll over"

Well, I´m going to ask this question again since only Corinth and Mandagora has answered and Corinths a guy. What would I have to do/be like to impress a girl? Within the realm of possibility, even if you would love a guy to be able to recite the collected works of Shakespeare, it´s not something I can do. So am I supposed to start doing bodybuilding or write poetry or join the army or turn gay or what? What kind of a guy would a woman want if she could choose?

Well you have two questions there - 'what do you have to do to impress a girl?' and 'what kind of guy would a woman want?'

Difficult to answer (and you wouldn't beleive me if I did!)

Well as Corinth has rediscovered since he started this thread, the only way is to pull the birds is to put yourself about a bit. Turn off your computer and get out into the fresh air and sunshine and start chatting up every female you encounter. And don't limit yourself to racially-pure youthful big-breasted blue-eyed blondes who speak English. Chat them all up. Bag-ladies, char women, amazons, secretaries, all ages, all colours. It's a big wide wonderful world out there. You just gotta let them know you're looking. They aren't gonna come knocking on your door.

Well let´s say you´ve tried that and you still haven´t found any that fancy you. What do you do then?

Hmmm... Nice friendly girls with soft hands to make you forget you're human, caring and compassion mixed in and putting up with the odd hankering (wondering what those odd hankerings are cause that might rule out a "nice" girl right off the bat)... Heck, we got girls like that here in Chicago, the firm legs might be a problem, but the friendly caring part is easy!

No Corinth was looking for girls who´d make him forget he´s human. I´m looking for girls that will see me as a human and not as someone just arrived from another planet.

Then Chicago it is for all you male searchers! We have ritual burnings of that book "men are from mars women are from venus" or whatever the heck it is called. Here men are men(I'm very tempted to add the line "and the sheep are nervous" but won't) and there are a vast majority of women who reserve judgement until well into the relationship and then some. If you are flexible on the firm thigh bit, then this is the place! (All those cold winters result in advanced boozing, thus not always firm thighs...). But I bet the same could be said for many places. I always seem to meet a ton of men(so vice versa it appears men are meeting a ton of women) at the House of Blues or other concert venues where there is standing room only. Of course you have to be careful what concerts you pick. Most favorable for good people was the Reggae, oddest mix was Heavy Metal.

I think this "make me forget I'm human" business has been taken rather too literally. The original comment was the result of bantering and wordplay, and therefore not to be taken literally.
I think basically we're all looking for the same thing; someone who gives a damn about us. The best way to find it is, as jwf said, to go out and look for it, and consider carefully whatever you find. Don't be too picky.

Actually I think the best advice is to just go out and NOT look for it. Just go out to have a good time. I always seem to be completely hit on when I'm not looking for it, but never hit on when I am looking for it.
