Back to the american/Canadian money thing (I haven't been on the 'net for a while), I heard it was a small flag on top of a building. I have a feeling it was a small denomination note, but I'm not sure.

The new Euro notes (which come out at the end of the month) are the same across all of the Euro zone and do not have any real buildings or people on them as they didn't want charges of favoratism to any one nation.
