So the next generation thinks we were just out to enjoy ourselves and our Revolution failed. Well it did but mainly because there were as many revolutions as there were hippies ( the revolution is in your head y'know). Furthermore, in the 60s the bad guys were LBJ and Nixon. Even the baddest acid could not give raise to a nightmare such as Thatcher and Reagan.
"Greed is good" didn't work and the World of employment is still potentially a very nasty place (even with share options). Whatever your beliefs, when you're dead the B.M.W. ain't much use.
I tried the Man's world for the last 2 decades. It nearly killed me.
I could be having a mid life crisis but I'm using my recently gained TEFL qualification to travel the world and meet people with more immediate problems than Office politics.
I'd rather be time than money rich. The hippy ethos is still there and now living in China.
