Ummm,
HP and the Order of the Phoenix (only when I have time and when my wife's not reading it - she got it out of the library. Don't you hate it when other people read your library books? )
Encounters with Stuff by Gordon Van Praagh (friend of my wife's grandfather, I think) - aims to make Chemistry interesting
Called or Collared - Francis Dewar ('an alternative approach to vocation')
Also intend to re-read the whole 'Left Behind' series up to book 10 (of 12) and possibly then buy 11 if I have any dosh. These are by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B Jenkins, very much a popcorn read but nonetheless a thought-provoking possible* interpretation of the years leading up to Jesus' Second Coming. Just saw the movie adaptation of the first one so want to go back to the original!
Don't you hate it when you have too many books on the go?
Don't you hate it when someone posts a huge bit in a conversation?

Yay to Metal Chicken a few posts back, for reading The Well of Lost Plots! I LOVE Jasper Fforde, and will shamelessly exploit any opportunity to plug his books.

Yes it is a new book. It's mainly made up of transcripts of various shows he did over the years. This OK, but it is a little disconcerting to read the same thing three times over, but just phrased a little differently.
Overall I'd say it's worth the money (£12.99)

Mars by Ben Bova.
Science Fiction nonsense set in the near future about an international mission to search Mars.
It's alright but the characters are rather stereotyped and predictable.

nobody else reading?
I've just started Sharpe's Honour
it's my last Sharpe book for a while.
Then I'll finish Enigma and Return of the King. I'm going to try something revolutionary: only read one book at a time. It's going to be Hitchhikers.

Curious incident:
Great book, very cleverly written, made me laugh and cry (but, as my mother-in-law said: "You are easily pleased").
And (in a Not the Nine O'Clock News kind of way), maybe, made me learn a little bit about myself.........

get to the thread and do that...
I was disappointed at what happened at the end of Sharpe's Enemy though. I hope there is more Wellington and Hogan in Honour.
