When I was at college, one of the lads started going grey at the grand old age of 19! A few years later, a colleague came to work with highlights in his hair. Another colleague, going grey in his early-mid 20s, said, "The great thing about going grey at a young age is that it saves you money on having your hair highlighted." So grey hair is *not* evidence that you're getting old.

One thing that has made me feel old more than once is going to a museum and seeing something there that I can remember from my youth. It could be something like a BBC computer (I had one) or Sinclair Spectrum (a friend had one), or that was 'current' when I was at college. Museums are for *old* things. Anything from that's younger than me should be put in a cupboard and left to mature for at least another 50 years.

Being probably the only person in my school that prefer old music to the new rubbish.

When you go to get your knees x-rayed to see how bad the arthritis is and they don't ask if you are pregnant.

When you go in to see the Consultant and ask him where his father is coz you assume its bring your son to work day - and you've got the son.

I've never been asked if I'm pregnant. That makes me feel old.

I was disappointed at a gig the other night in ULU not to be asked if I was old enough to buy beer.
