Know what you mean about the doctors looking young and the it is true about policemen too and they seem to be so short.

Naw, I went back and read it again: I didn't know you had a 'bring your son' day ( we have a girls day here), which is why I hadn't an idea what you were talking about.

When my step-mom sends me pics of her grandaughter's new baby...she is way too young to have kids which makes me a great-aunt...I am mid-thirties and don't like that term...that makes me feel Older thand the hills of the Sound of Music. Uffdamaida

I became a grandmum in October after warning my kids never to do it to me they did. However there are such young grans around it did not make me feel as old as the aches and pains and the bluddy winter weather.

Oddly, seeing, speaking and tumbling about with my grand-kids makes me feel quite a lot younger.
The attitudes of some co-workers, who weren't yet born when I began this work, simply tiresome.
Seeing several generations of devices that I have serviced and maintained, in a museum of like things, ... THAT makes me feel 'less young'.

Oh, the list goes on and on!
Having moved into my first very own flat.
The realisation that my "baby" sister is now a teenager.
Having the first semester students address me by the formal "Sie" rather than "du" for "you" when they ask me something
And the worst must have been when I was helping a little girl catch her from the pasture and she told me "My grandmother rides here, too - maybe you know her. Do you have grandchildren I could play with?" I was 18, then!
