Does anyone notice that whenever you try to take the stone out of a cherry to make the cherry-eating experience more pleasurable, you inevitably end up destroying the majority of the cherry, thereby ruining the edibility?

Try chewing around the stone and then spitting the stone at whoever is hitting people in the head with hand bags.

But if we strangled all the politicians at birth, who would run the country, at least with politicians you can boot them out every 4 years. Its the voters that need shooting, to quote "give a man an oppinion and you might as well give him a gun.
Its the enlargement of the franchise that has led to our woes. Look at the largest selling newspaper,a nd the people that read it, then understand that this would explain what we lumber ourselves with every for years. OOOOOHHH

oh we're back to this again
if you strangle all the politicians at birth you won't have the hassle of kicking them out every 5 years and you won't have to give the electorate guns.
we can just be ruled by europe (germany under a new name)

no matter who you vote for you always end up with a politician! Sad but true!

Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 25, 1999
If you voted for me I wouldn't be a politican
I'm too honest
Chaos and Politics
Obscure Posted Jun 25, 1999
How can you call yourself "to honest". Do you have a certificate from the Alpha Centauri Honesty police proving this or are you lying to yourself.
ah ha
Chaos and Politics
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 26, 1999
Both - I lied to them too
But I probably am more honest than all politicians put together
Chaos and Politics
Smiley Ben Posted Jun 26, 1999
Erm... surely if you put all politicians together you'd get a much more dishonest thing, not an honest thing!
Chaos and Politics
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 26, 1999
precisely the point, it is not hard to be more honest than a bunch of politicians,
Even if I did lie to the police about being totally honest

Obscure Posted Jun 26, 1999
If you did get a bunch of politicians together, would a bunch of bananas have a higher IQ
Chaos and Politics
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 26, 1999
Oh I don't know about that
But just 'cos a person has a high IQ doesn't make them sensible, good or right.
I mean look at me
