The true Reason CHAOS

Anything is more organised than organisation,
witness parliament

Fluke Posted Jun 14, 1999
I think, therefore I am not going to vote in the Euro elections.

Don't mention them. they were two days before my 18th birthday so I couldn't vote.
I didn't think people thought about who they voted for - just shut their eyes and stabbed with a pen. Seems infinitely more sensible and might actually work

Dont talk about Europe, never mind the elections. No straight Bananas, no british lawnmoweres the euro! What next!
Chaos and Politics
Fluke Posted Jun 15, 1999
I know what's next, but you just asked me not to talk about it.

One language, driving on the right hand side of the road,
But maybe we'd only need dodgy passport photos to go somewhere really exotic and exciting.
And if we used every countries public holidays, work days would be scarce.

So can the U.S. join the Euro? I would like the extra days off of work.

If I owned a country I would forbid entry to it to anyone who can't sing 'Eric the Half-A-Bee' (from Monty Python).

It was a few months after my 18th birthday, so I did get to vote. To be honest, you're probably right that people just did it randomly? But what were supposed to do? It's not like we had any choice at all.
There was: Hague's Tories - Centre Right.
Labour - Centre Right
Lib Dem - Centre Right
Euro Tories - Centre centre Right.
UKIP - Erm? Centre Left, but they're a little toooo strange...
Natural Law Party - Left, and ditto ditto ditto...
Hemp Coalition - erm, er... yes...
BNP - Right. Right. rightrightrightright...
Who were we supposed to vote for?
Chaos and Politics
Artretia Dent Posted Jun 16, 1999
Hemp Coalition!!!!
I don't care. I give up. I'm gonna hitch a lift and get out of here as soon as possible....
Chaos and Politics
Smiley Ben Posted Jun 16, 1999
Actually, almost everyone I know seriously considered that...
I mean, what with PR meaning you can't waste your vote on the Lib. Dems. any more....
Chaos and Politics
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 16, 1999
Maybe I'm glad I couldn't vote
it sounds like a harder decision than choosing which 3 history essays to write.
and that was hard.
What would've happened if no-one voted?
would they have let us out of the EU
Chaos and Politics
Swiv (decrepit postgrad) Posted Jun 17, 1999
Couldn't - even if I had been 18
They didn't stand down here.
We get Mabinyon Kernow or something
Chaos and Politics
Smiley Ben Posted Jun 17, 1999
Erm... Noone did vote in England! There was only 19% turn out in some areas - in a company that would NEVER be quorate...
I effectively had four people's votes...
