That's all I'm saying - that it's not representative, which is the only claim to be used to say a certain type of election 'doesn't work...'!
Single transferable vote, or PR both work much better if more than one candidate has to be elected...

We should put people in charge randomly, without offering the opportunity to refuse. The people that want to be in charge all make the worst leaders!

The next question is, do " the powers that be" in what ever planet they may be residing (personally I think it is the planet Birdienumnum) belive that 42 is the answer. And if it is do they have the strength of conviction and moral apptitude to make a knickerbocker glory without getting the hundreds and thousands on the wrong end.
