Nora - back from the Dublin meet!

My deepest sorrow and sympathy to everyone affected - which must mean half the world by now... I hope we don't go to war over this. It will only make things worse.

This must have wrenched a hole in the American heart. No words can express. From one Yankophile who's never been there and still wants to go, to all Americans everywhere; smiley - hugs, condolences, and deepest sympathy.

Looking at the pictures of people jumping from the WTC made me realize that thousands of people dead means thousands of individuals whose lives have come to an end. As Le Petit Prince would say, they tamed me.

Deepest Sympathies.

I am absolutely shocked and stunned....there is immense grief in my heart. I am unable to comprehend the meaning of all this, but my heart goes out to those who have lost their near and dear ones in the tragedy. May they find strength to come to terms with this. And those who lost their lives, may they souls rest in peace. Today, it seems, they are at least in a better world than the one they have left behind!!

The world and we who live in it can never be the same.
The loss, the grief, we feel will never go away.
We weep, we mourn, we listen, we live
The dance moves on, but the rhythym is broken

Deepest and most sincere condolences from everyone working here in the h2g2 offices. It is an honour and a privilege to be able to provide a place where people can talk and comfort each other.

Peace. That most of all.

To all the victims of this horror and my fellow Americans, I express a profound sense of regret and sorrow that we cannot simply turn back the clock. To say that I am truly sorry for the loss and grief you are experiencing would be redundant by reviewing all the things already said. The rest is silence.

To all the US citizens and those who have 'loved and lost' through this horrific act of terrorism. I really didnt know what to put, words fail me, so ive decided to quote some words from a popular song over in the UK.

'Walk on, walk on, with hope in your hearts,
and you'll NEVER walk alone-you'll never walk alone'
