Church of euthanasia: Art or mockery?
T´mershi Duween Started conversation Sep 11, 2002
While surfing today, I came upon the "Church Of Euthanasia" site(can be found on google with those 3 words).
This guy, Chris Korda (an american), tells how he actually enjoyed seeing the 9/11 incident, and says that there´s probably a lot of nice, decent people out there who felt the same way, as we´re so used to seeing these things on film, that we get exited when we get the real stuff.
There´s a video he made on the site called "I like to watch (the planes coming in)", wich, when I saw it, instantly reminded me of the Sex Pistols song "Einmal war Belsen vortrefflich"(Once Belsen was splendid). That was, and still is probably, a major provocation to some, even 20+ years after its release. It made me think that perhaps true punk is not dead after all, as this video is such a strong comment on western voyuerism that it can not just be dismissed as mockery.
So if anyone has seen this video or someone goes to the site to see it after reading this, I would like to hear comments on it.
The video is likely to upset people though, I shold warn.
DON´T KEEP CHILDREN AROUND WHILE WATCHING IT.
