A Conversation for The OmegaMatic!

Three good-guy ships have come around the left side of the planet Korooth III. The ships are the Mangar, the Esirpretne and the Millenium Bug. Several Chiss ships have materialized and are racing to engage. Several ships under Admiral Yuri are also racing to join battle. The OmegaMatics defenses are waiting for the ships to come into range.

*The Mangar, Esirpretne and Millenium Bug split up, but are still beyond the range of the OmegaMatic's defenses. The Mangar is heading towards the left side of the OmegaMatic, the Esirpretne towards the right and the Bug towards the top. The defending ships have to split up to follow the three invaders.*

Oh yeah, the Mogship is there too. It is a good-guy ship. When the ships slit up, the Mogship sets a course to loop way under the OmegaMatic and come up behind it. (Of course, in space, "behind", "on top", "to the left", etc. are all relative. I'm thinking of those directions from the OmegaMatic's viewpoint.)

[Er, yeah. The Chiss ships are in direct contact with Lord Ancba, who is giving them tips on how to beat the good guys. He is not quite as good as Thrawn, but he's good enough. The Mogship, however, is completely baffling to him]

* the penguin, just to make sure you all remember him, is cowering in a corner of the CLI Mini-UFO's bridge, because he's scared of space battles. *

[The Mogship makes some progress against the Chiss. Well, all right, they've destroyed one ship and lightly roasted another, but that's progress for you. Against the Chiss, anyway]

Xerces - the Chiss ships are bad guys, so you probably want to help them, rather than attack
The UFO doesn't participate in this battle, because it is cloaked and heading for the OmegaMatic, via the asteroid field. This battle is a diversion. The other good-guy ships are being controlled by red-shirted extras, since their normal commanders are all aboard the UFO.
*The Mangar heads straight towards the ships that are attacking it, it's shields taking heavy fire. At the last minute before a collision would take place, the Mangar deftly rolls and dips under the attacking formation, emerging on the OmegaMatic side of the battle. The Mangar streaks towards the OmegaMatic, with only the OmegaMatics own defenses to contend with.*

*BBW watches the Mangar on his screen. He nods in appreciation of the manouvre he just witnessed. He pushes a button and the aiming cross-hairs are superimposed on the screen, in red. A number begins counting down on the top right of screen as the Mangar approaches the range limit of the Tantalus beam. The number counts down to zero, the cross-hairs turn green and BBW punches the fire button. The blue beam blasts out from the OmegaMatic and envelopes the Mangar in a blue glow. The Tantalus ray fights with the Mangar's shields but doesn't have quite enough power to overcome them. The beam shuts off and begins its recharge sequence. BBW curses and drums his fingers while he waits.*

* the penguin becomes engrossed in a book, trying to forget about the space battle that's raging. He puts a little sign next to him saying 'Please couldst thou be kind enough to alert me when it doth be time to vanquish and slay the enemy aboard the OmegaMatic' *
