Plans for the H2G2 Movie

Indeed! That would be a sight to see... So we have Hugh Laurie as Arthur, Jim Carrey as Zaphod and Patric Stuart as the captain of the Golgafrincham ArcFleet Ship B...
Who's next?
TM.

Yeah, i could definitely see Ozzy doing a good job.
How about William Shatner rather than Patrick Stewart as the captain? Shatner was the original, and the best.

Whyever not? Shatner's ace!
Far better than any of the other dull characters that have populated Star Trek since.

I was reading the book the other day and I thought, Catherine Zeta Jones might be good for Trillian. When it first mentions her on France, it describes her as looking vaguely Arabic with her hair in that style and I think CZJ might look that way.

I agree that Robin Williams would work better than Jim Carey.
How about that paranoid-depressed robot Marvin who would play that role

I could see Patrick Stewart as a Vogon and Sean Connery as Zaphod
let's omit Jim Cary altogether.

Not that I want to sound negative but I remember talk of developing a Hitch-Hiker movie not long after the TV was shown on BBC2 some 21 years ago!!
I remember various rumours about directors ranging from Ivan Reitman through to Tim Burton via Steven Speilberg. Various Actors have been mentioned from Hugh Laurie, Jim Carey, Robin Williams and so on.
I would love to see a movie, honestly I would, but considering it's been in production hell for 21 years now do you really think it's likely to happen.
Sorry if I sound negative, but I've had my hopes build up over the possibility of a movie for so long now that I'm cynical of any rumours I hear. I'll believe it happening when I see the trailer for it.

Anyway, Sir EvilRoy, your cast is missing Michael Caton and Stephen Curry as Majikthise and Vroomfondle respectively.
