Aroma Café: The Return of the Cappuccino
ox Posted Oct 14, 2000
Don't know the book, Lil, but the themepark ilk has bothered me for years. It's a form of cancer to me. I've had the desire to move to a remote area for years but that desire isn't practical right now. I'm right in the middle of a city but I'm always aware of the natural swamp essence of Florida that I hope will one day purge itself of parks and tourists and...*puffs and pants and controls the urge to rant*
WHEW! Sorry, Lil...tourist season is coming on and I am not a predator. Just frustrated.

Hi Mike!
ox, in my part of Florida the snowbirds have begun to arrive and you can see the snarls and gestures of frustration on the faces of natives in their cars, trying to get somewhere on their lunch break while the visiting bluehairs hesitate and dither at turns.

On a humorous note, I live on the edge of a neighborhood that touristos avoid. Lots of Cubanos and other ethnic groups of rich heritage but not a lot of money. Santeria is practiced in pockets here and in most of the little shops English is spoken with a heavy accent. The bluehairs and their spawn wander around the fringes but don't venture in too far.

hmmm...starting to sound a little predatorial there, ox.
Mike, you don't seem to understand. I don't care about the metal scene. No, really, it's true. I just like a couple of the bands. And I realized that you wouldn't think Slipknot's image was ironically stupid; but I thought I may as well say it. Maybe SOMEONE will see.
And I ain't no bat, I'm a Xenomorph. Alien, that is to say. And I hold the cup the right way up, i.e. upside-down to me. It's all quite disgustingly cunning, hmm?

Then you must have an elephantine proboscis.
ox, I recognise the area of which you speak, and, since I can't speak Spanish, I don't go there much either, although I don't regard the area as threatening. Just opaque to me.
I have been considering whether to start a new thread here, in my role as caretaker: I have been asking after Irv for over a week, but nobody seems to know where he is.

Xenomorphs don't have probisci, and anyway I don't need one, I just drink it upsidedown and swallow it upwards. But, I mean, does that really matter? Anyway, it's started raining again here, so that's all right.

I haven't seen Irv in a while. I like your opaque glasses, Lil. Better than the rose-colored variety.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that 'xenomorph' referenced a particular shape; there are ever so many kinds of aliens. I notice that you were the 666th post; does that please you?
ox, these are patented Beeblebrox-Bans!

Oh, I figured that any mouthy dance fan would have no interest in the metal scene. Don't mean I can't tell you about it, chuck
