Aroma Café: The Return of the Cappuccino

I'm sure he's really nice. Just checked the library's online catalogue, and he has written a book called (I'm translating the Swedish translation into English here, so I'm not sure if it turns out entirely correct) "When I bought my grandfather a fishing rod". Isn't that a nice title?

Bye JAR!
Oh dear!! I've been sitting here with an empty mug for 4 hours!!! That would explain this terrible tiredness, too!
I must make amends....
IIEM, 4 large cups of coffee, please!

Oh look, in 15 minutes I get to go home too...

Dave Brubeck is alive and well and still composing and playing! Take 5 is a wonderful song, one-eye; like the rest of you I can still remember the first time I heard it. 1958. My uncle had just bought one of the first record players in the new technology -- stereo!! And one of the first LP's in the new technology stereo was called "Time Further Out" by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. It was very experimental stuff. Not only the song Take Five, in 5/4 time (sax by the immortal Paul Desmond, drums by the immortal Joe Morello (both late) and bass by Eugene Wright), but Unsquare Dance in 7/4. Nobody except native Africans was using such outlandish rhythms 50 years ago.
Can I have some tea, Bluebottle?

Outlandish rhythms? I once learnt a Bulgarian folk dance in 13/8...
Mike, could you put IIEM down long enough for it to make me a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream? Please?
Aroma Café: The Return of the Cappuccino
Mike A (snowblind) Posted Oct 12, 2000

S'been ok. Yesterday I got 10/20 in a chemistry test, so today I had the re-test and got 11/20 *^_^*
The physics test went ok, so did the German one. And my biology detention was fine. It was a mufti day so I wore me Guns N Roses t-shirt to school. In our form room at one point we had Metallica, The Offspring, Korn and Guns N Roses in at the same time. Shame I couldn't represent my favourite Maiden
Today I have almost finished my geography coursework which is handed in tomorrow. I can finish it in the lesson, and will contribute approx 10% of my marks to the GCSE
