*looks up from the clearly facinating newspaper article she has apparently been reading since yesterday*
*blinks*
Oh, um, IIEM, a coffee please. White, one sugar.
Hi Tatiana.

Uncle Heavy [sic] Posted Oct 10, 2000
Hello. Is it possible to get a drink in here, or is it members only?
I'm quite lovely, if that helps.

Mike A (snowblind) Posted Oct 10, 2000
Simply ask the IIEM for whatever you wish, and you shall be granted it
Titania: no lyrics - I just put the case back into my full rack of 40 CDs and the words aren't much to spea about anyway *^_^*
Apologies for once again skipping backlog. Please forgive me.

JAR wrote you a really interesting post a while back about that church-burner fellow ... I'll have to get you the number of the post, as this thread is getting awfully long.
*busses counter and replaces filters on IIEM* I notice Ook is away. I wonder if he is still cultivating a melon patch out there?
*As no-one else seems to be listening to anything right now, switches rolls on piano to play Chopin nocturnes*
And where is Irv?

Still missing. Oh Irv.
I'm in Israel, but with crazy new friends from Belgrade. We compete for who makes top story in this god damn country.
How about a coke? a good american coke? all you can get is the awful israeli variety in this country

Asteroid Lil - Offstage Presence Posted Oct 10, 2000
good American diet, classic or whatever that other variety is? cherry coke? vanilla coke? Decaffeinated?
I'm hearing the news as I write, and it sounds marginally less gloomy, unless there is a vote of no confidence in the Knesset and the conservative hardliners get a foot in the door.
Now if I were a wily old general with not very many scruples and a leader of a political party to boot, and if I wanted my foot in the door, I might deliberately do something inflammatory to set off the Palestinians and then wait for the fruit to fall off the tree and into my lap.

Thanks Lil (and J): just found JAR's post and have to say...
This Count/Varg guy is a bit of a b*****d, isn't he?! I must have mentioned the two aliases in an earlier post: up until now I thought they were different peeps. Church burning, grave defiling, right-wing tendancies and murder?
Church burning: let him out to do more!
Graves: less of that though
Nazism: if you're going to go on about "freedom of speech" you can at least be consistant.
Murdering guitarists: that is where I draw the line. I've never heard Mayhem, but even with two important members dead and buried in grim circumstances, they've kept going. Respect for that, even if they prolly do sound just like any other death/black band.
I told myself: after three Bathory albums, Entombed's latest and Slayer's infamous Reign In Blood, I promised myself: no more of this. It all sounds the same. Waste of money. Bad boy!
Slipknot....Kittie....Dark Funeral...how many more soundalikes must be happily added to the collection? Not that I regret it...but there are so many offering from the true age of metal: the 80s. Respect 80s bands! Maiden, Saxon, Samson, Sabbath, Roses, Europe, Bonfire...
And what of the roots? More Sabbath, Purple, Whitesnake, Free, Skynryd and related. How many more bands can I name from memory?
Finally: what is the significance of Gehannah? And I'm not talking about the band!!!!

*reads his post*
Ooops, got carried away! How many people will have tried read that then? *^_^*
Keep the flame alive. Death to false metal.

A lot of activity...
Another hot chocolate, please, to go.
*takes chocolate and walks out of the cafe, to return later*
Bye all!

Good Morning Titania,
Good Morning Mike A,
by now it is probably morning for you as well ,
May I have a large flat white coffee in a mug to get me going for the day.
No worries Mike A I read what you wrote and could not understand a word of what you said, you are probably pretty safe, just come have a coffee with me anyway, and tell me what is important in your life.

Hang on, I have to re-read newspaper front page - had to share commuter train wagon with three classes of Kindergarten kids - a bit distractive...

OK, here it is:
'Fighter dogs (don't know if that's the English expression for it) a growing problem'
...seems that young men in the suburbs get a dog they use in dog fights, and the reason is that it is a way for them to gain 'respect' (the men, that is...)
The problem is that these dogs are brought up to be very agressive, and several people have been attacked by them, since the owners can't control the dogs...
Key: Complain about this post
