Anyone heard from Ed the Bonobo lately?
HonestIago Started conversation Jan 21, 2010
Just haven't seen him around for a few months, he's not been on facebook (which isn't that big a deal) and hasn't been responding to emails (which is fairly unusual).
Last I heard from him, things weren't great in his life and I'm just hoping he's alright.

I was thinking of him lately, but nope, no news. Sent him an email a couple of weeks ago, to no avail

I've just called his mobile and left a message. Hopefully he'll be in touch soon.

I hope so Chris. I emailed him in December and said: "I´m ok, thanks, more soon"
But haven´t had any news since then.

Glad someone has some contact info and we may get a response.
So many people seem to just disappear.
Not that ED ever had anything nice to say about me.
But I'd wish him no harm. In fact I kinda miss his rants.
There's athread about 'class' going on that he'd just love.
Of course all of this is just to keep this thread near the top
in case somebody knows more about his whereabouts.

Ed is a diamond, a wonderful person to know. I was very lucky to spend some time with him in Glasgow. We visited the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art, which had an LGBT exhibition running featuring works by Grayson Perry, Mapplethorpe & Holly Johnson, and a tree covered in cocks. He reminds me a lot of Barton () which might explain a thing or two. Also he has a chronic stammer and looks like Ian McMillan.
Pure speculation on my part, but I suspect his time online has been suspended for the sake of his family, which might have a bit to do with all the ENDLESS BLEATING ABOUT RELIGION. Perhaps I'm projecting, but take note.

I bumped into him in Glasgow before Christmas. He said then he was going through a bad patch but would be back when he was up for it again. Which will hopefully be quite soon.

Thanks for the update. It's good to know Ed has such good friends
Ed had been mentioning online that things were getting too much in Hootoo. The power of words are strong and can, even unintentionally, still bite deeply.
Ed, we don't chat often, but I've always enjoyed your wisdom and sense of humour. Come back soon

Oh, that's sad. I guess I always avoid the more... difficult topics of conversation on here, partly for the same reason.

Who wants to volunteer to post to his homepage with a link to this thread, so that if he pops back he'll know we were thinking of him.
I would but seeing it was from me he'd probably ignore it and never see the link. He promised to ignore me.

I've been missing him too - he mentioned a book that I bought last year (but hadn't read) and I'm reading it at the mo which made me think of him. That, and the fact that I've just mp3d my Scritti Politti album
hope he comes back soon
