Effers;England.

I'm reckoning Kate will win - she defo certainly has passion as well as hard arsed ambition and talent, in the taxi the first thing she said was that she couldn't wait to phone her mum. But I've still a soft spot for bolshy Debra....she reminds me of my best friend at school.

For me James was an an absolute twerpy clown.

(Dunno what you're going on about HI, about it being blatant that from week 1 a woman was going to win...for what reasons?)

There was no way - no way - they were going to let a man win it 4 times out of 5. Given that the one woman to win it thus far was an absolute train wreck of an employee (that'll learn him not to employ the Badger), they were always going to have a woman winning it this time around. Could you imagine the grief that would have been stirred up otherwise?

I think I said as much in the early days of this thread - I'll go back and check.

Maybe not, unless I did it on facebook, but I can't be bothered to go back and check. I have been certain a woman was going to win since week 1 though.

Have to say that both Debra & Lorraine came across as much more likeable in one-to-one interviews with the film crew than during the tasks.

I was actually hoping that Debra would be in the final after this episode, perhaps her business demeanour was a result of her previous work environment? Maybe not though, as the references she was given were absolutely brutalsmiley - yikes. That had to have hurt, so her resilience in the face of overwhelmingly bad feedback was admirablesmiley - smiley. Hope she gives her referees a piece of her mind (after securing a better job, that is). I'd pay money to see thatsmiley - winkeye.

James was never going to go any further, but he was great value from a viewing point of viewsmiley - biggrin.

Lorraine came across as a more rounded personality tonight, & she did well to get past all the bile thrown at her in previous weeks with her dignity intact. Her performance appeared to depend on which other 'personalitys' she was working with. She was good with Kate, Howard etc, but knocked heads with others who were more vocal/?ego-centric than herself.

I don't know who is going to win, as the end of the program showed Suralan using his left hand, & the end of the 'You're Fired' on Beeb 2 showed him using his right hand. Have they possibly cottoned onto the fact that this may be a pointer to the result??smiley - winkeye

I would like Kate to win, but I'm not sure which way Suralan will go. He has been a bit unpredictable this year (not a bad thing).

Funky Gibbon, eh? Are you a fan of the brilliant Goodies then?

My money's on Yasmina.

Hi anne-o-mally, oh yes the Goodies are fuzzy early memories of a very good childhood, then I grew up and became very hairy (to much detail I know!) so a very good name.

I loved the Goodies on a Sunday tea-time, they were completely surreal & bizarre - a total contrast to the Terry & June type of comedy. My parents didn't get most of it, therefore they were even bettersmiley - winkeye

Oh my god yes, so out there, I remember the Sunday tea-time's.

So who do you think, Yasmina or Kate?

There was no way in the world that Swallin was going to keep Debra and Yasmina. I'll guarantee Kate will win. Think about it.

>I'll guarantee Kate will win. Think about it.

Think about it? Mmmm that says a lot WA. I take the programme as a bit of fun...like any TV programme of this type, essentially entertainment. We can all speculate about agendas etc, but what on earth is the point?

I happen to think it's a bit more interesting than the average reality show because there's also other factors such as Sir Al not just wanting to make himself look a laughing stock on tv as that would adversely effect his business image in other areas. He always gives good reasons as to why he makes the choices he does. I think a purely cynical analysis misses the point.

Any tv show I've watched which I decided was to be so utterly simplistic and transparent in its predictability, right from the start...I'd just stop watching, and certainly wouldn't keep posting about it here.

I happen to think Kate appears to be a worthy winner based on my own assessment of yes heavy editing. Get over it. It's a form of a reality tv programme.

Watch the teaser trailer carefully - it's very clear who is going to win.

Orcus

A couple of weeks ago you could see who was going to be sacked just from where the boss pointed his finger in the teaser trailer. all you had to do was remember and see who was sat in that seat.

Unfortunately I forgot when it was actually broadcast and only remembered when they did the scene. So it didn't spoil it.
It would have if I'd remembered though.
They aren't so subtle it has to be said, these teaser trailers.

Why do some people just LOVE to find their christmas presents before they are wrapped and given? smiley - laugh

I'm happy to watch. Kate's very good, Yasmina might just fire Swalan up enough with her risk-taking though.

If it were down to me I'd pick Kate. She's professional, she's got poise, and shes capable too... After her performance in interviews, you could send her anywhere to deal with pretty much anyone and she'd not disgrace you. Too dull? I dont think so. Dependable yes, boring, no.

Yasmina, hm. I dont like her style, I just dont. Sorry!

Yes I think Jasmina appeared to be a worthy winner. Both herself and Kate have been consistently high performers..but I thought in the final task that Jasmina's project was more imaginative and was better priced.

And I don't think it had anything to do with *a woman just had to win it this year*.. I thought they were the best two people. smiley - shrug
