Dea.. - call me Mrs B!

I'm an avowed Marmite hater, Vegemite is even worse. Don't even open a bag of Twiglets in my company!

I blame it on years at Uni, living close to a seed factory/refiner, the whole area used to have a nasty yeasty stink which lingered everywhere!

Malabarista - now with added pony

Never had a chance to try it - but it sounds like it's best left to other people.

Feisor - -0- Generix I made it back - sortof ...

My favourite bot of Vegemite trivia is that, when it was originally invented as an alternative to Marmite, they almost named it Parwill.

As in Marmite - but Parwill smiley - laugh

Could somebody please have a word with Londis? My local branch of the aforementioned emporium of stuff and things only sells the tiny little pointless jars of Marmite or the silly gimmicky squeezy jars.

This irks me something rotten.

Effers;England.

Yes I went to Sainsbury's earlier and bought a new medium sized jar. I always love it when I get a fresh jar. The little jars run out too quick and I don't get through the big jars quite quick enough, before they get a bit old. I also bought a new packet of Ryvita - the basic dark rye original type, it's so nice to eat thinly spread marmite, (and butter/or vegetable spread), on a few Ryvita.

There's something about the 'crunch' of toast or crispbread with marmite. smiley - drool
