Speaking as a parent, I can't believe that parents can have any problems with their kids being homo- rather than heterosexual, and if you tell them you're still trying to find out and want to leave your options open, they should have enough understanding of this, too.

Still, you know your parents better, and if you think there will be repercussions (what, for goodness sake? The belt? House arrest? - that's not going to stop you, is it?) ... er yes, if you think there will be repercussions, then it is understandable that you don't want to tell them.

But don't forget - they may well have figured it out already, or been told. If not yet, do you honestly want them to find out by hearing it from someone else.

It's usually the offspring who think that a conversation won't work out - the parents are just waiting for you to broach the subject. After all, it's not long ago they were your age and they can't have forgotten all about what it was like.

nurses are mostly wearing trousers these days and a lot of (funnily enough) men are upset about it, but there are also those higher up that are concerned....

one would assume that it is because it's easier i.e. if something spills etc you dont have to necessarily change your entire outfit, rather just the one item of clothing etc etc., more comfortable, warmer, etc etc....yeah??
or perhaps in the days of gender equality (ish)... women wearing the trousers ....
i would have said a patient just likes the 'authority' and trustworthy, confident and efficient figure of a nursie in a frock, but there you go..

apparantly the dirty nurses are goin around all day with bits falling out of their bums and nobody ever noticed until recently, and for hygene reasons, when one is hoiking their leg up on the bed to help lift a patient or whatever....well.. ewwww..bits are falling off them, so..... better if they were wearing trousers..
i mean really....aint that taking it a bit too far.... one would hope they are all wearing sensible knickers under their uniforms ....

Phredde, I wish I knew what else to say to you than that. You sound very mature and responsible for your age, which hopefully your parents appreciate and means that they'd listen to you. Vaguely unrelated story, but one of my friends came out to me as gay but swore me to secrecy as he didn't want his parents to know. Anyway, my parents asked me what was going on with him (as they knew him pretty well too) and I ummed and ahhed and then blurted out "he's gay!". And my parents were totally unfazed - they were like "yeah, we thought he was. That's cool." So I can only hope that you have a similarly happy ending
