I'm currently compiling a CD for an upcoming deejay gig. It was decided by a small group of folks that I'm to play a set of songs the titles of which all contain girl's names. So, I need help putting together a playlist, anything I don't have I'll gladly download.
The list thus far (and yes, some of them are painfully obvious, but whatever) is as follows. What I'd like from you lot is a long list of suggestions/ recommendations.
Thank you all in advance for your assistance.
Ideas as of now:
Material Issue- Diane
The Exploited- Maggie
The Stooges- Johanna
Rolling Stones- Angie
B.B. King- Lucille
Matthew Sweet- Evangeline
Elvis Costello- Veronica (or Alison)
The Fall- Victoria
Thin Lizzy- Sarah
The Mission- Amelia
They Might Be Giants- Ana Ng
Nirvana- Polly
The House of Love- Christine
B-52s- Debbie
Robyn Hitchcock- Ivy
Crosby, Stills & Nash- Guinevere
The Kinks- Lola
Nick Lowe- Maureen
Van Morrison- Natalia
Talk Talk- Renee

Eurythmics - Julia
Duran Duran - Rio (bah! spit! but the lyric *does* go "her name is Rio"...)
And, although it doesn't actually have a girl's name in the title, surely "Song For Whoever" by The Beautiful South should be in there?

Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream Posted Oct 29, 2004
There was one a few years ago, I can't remember the artist or title D'oh but it had loads of girls names in it. Maybe someone else will recognise my very vague description and remember it.

I don't know I thought I'd recognise the title if I saw it. I'll have to ask my teenage son later, when he comes home, he'll know, the little know all

88 Lines about 44 women
Lots of women's names in the song, but none in the title,
Dunno who did it originally, but it was covered by 'They Might be Giants', or at least I think it was.
