Hi... er... guess that I am technically from the Discworld... but... am now living and loving in good ole England...
Have only just recently discovered H2G2, but am already making my mark here...
Be nice to each other, and be especially kind to cats...

Never tried kangaroo...
But smalahove tastes excellent, if you manage to not look too much on it..
So for me it is whale, raindeer, snails (ugh!) and smalahove.

As far as I can see (which really isn't that far!) I am the first researcher originally from Ohio. A small state in the U.S.A. The village I'm from is Richwood. Ohio may seem like an insignificant place as the world goes, but I have recently learned that many serial killers/mass murderers originated here! Must be something in the corn. I'm not sure where I am currently. I am not certain if I exist at all outside this web site. Or inside it for that matter.

town of Easton, south of Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

YES! Oh my goodness(or badness), someone has heard of Richwood! It's between Marion & Marysville.

We haven't advertised as of yet - so we are doing quite well considering. We have just managed to get a mention by the Alta Vista babel fish though. Babel fish was Douglas' creation after all...
In the future well -
Ads on the bottom of files cabinets seem somehow appropriate...

Return of the undead summary...
Note: For those of us who listed multiple places, I chose the
current residence (assuming I could figure out which one that is),
unless the researcher emphatically specified some other city as
home.

Indeed... I'd even question the mere *existence* of any spelling and pronounciation rules in the english language. Take the string "ove" as it is used in "dove", "love", "above", "glove" as opposed to "clove". Or take "ea" as in "heard", "beard", "read", "Reading".
There simply *are* no rules...

Hey, I live on a sandbar on the Outer Banks coast of North Carolina, US. Have you ever heard of the Labrador Current? It runs parallel to the Gulf Stream in the opposite direction. It brings cold water down the east coast of the US along North Carolina. I think dogs like it or something.

think that I have been away for more than just
4 years.

You can replace unspecified Scotland by Inverness Scotland - if you really want to.

Merton, South London, UK (as I know there other Mertons exist)
or
Sarf Lunnun as it's pronounced round here.
AKA South Wimbledon if you listen to the estate agents,
London Transport renamed the tube station South Wimbledon years ago but some of the signs still have the subscript (Merton High Street) below the name.
Once the hang out of Admiral Lord Nelson and his bit on the side Emma Hamilton as shown by the local pub names.
