What's The Most Embarassing Thing That's Ever Happened To You

It's like one of those things from a sitcom isn't it?

At least you didn't watch said musical. I got on to 15-1 and lasted for about 12 seconds. People still shout at me the one word I have said on British tv (Isaiah!).
Other than that, since I am unfeasibly clumsy, I am used to embarrassment, taking it as an occupational hazard.

Its so good to see the threads still going. I need this place to purge my soul.
On taking my youngest son to school i remind him that his friends mum was going to pick him up so that he could go round for tea. I explained this to his teacher. Zak came home full of beans and had had a good time. The next morning im asked by his teacher if zak was ok? i say why woulden't he be? Well, she explained that his friends mum didn't collect zak, the school rang her so that she would come and get him,Zak was extremlly upset. Apparently, Zak was meant to go round the next day and i had got the day mixed up!!!
Oh the shame, i did wonder if i could do this all week and make up names of people to collect him! Share the children week? or crap mum of the week ?

Hi
I once fell up some stairs outside when it was raining.
Rolled over and sat in a puddle so I had a wet bum all day!

I was on 'Blockbusters' and inadvertently said the 'Can I have a P, please?' line. I then spent about five minutes ranting about how stupid I was and begging the crew to edit that bit out.
Needless to say, they didn't. I still haven't seen it.

I forgot my Father's name for about 15 minutes in the discovery interview for my forthcoming nuptuals.

The most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. Was when I was at a friends wedding. It was ( what can I say?) quite a posh do. I was eating my main meal and I picked a couple of peas off my plate with my fork and as I put them into my mouth they rolled down my fork and onto the plate of the woman sitting next to me. She was not very happy about that. And she let me know.

Yeah, only a couple of peas. Not like you dropped your potato into her wineglass or so.

This didn't happen to me, but to one of my friends (no it's not one of those when you say it happened to a friend when it happened to someone in a fictional story) she was shopping with a friend's father, when she mentioned that it was her birthday. When she saw the guy reaching for his wallet and pulling out some money, she laughed sweetly and said "No, I don't need any gift, thank you". Then he looked at her like she had gone mad and said "I was about to pay for what I'd bought. What did you think?"
These days she is doing all she can to avoid that guy...

Those who know me [and I hope they are few and far between on here...!!!] know I am a HUGE Status Quo fan. I have a massive number of embarrassing stories about Quo - from telling their keyboard player to shut up when he was playing 'My Heart Will Go On' from Titanic during a soundcheck [well, I hate it, I used to work in a music shop when the film came out and every 12 year old kid in the world would come in and play it on our pianos - but it's hardly is fault! - he was lovely about it though...] to spilling the bassist's pint down me, him and the guy who bought it for him...
The two worst were the following: My FIRST Quo gig ever was in 1996 at Brighton Conference Centre. I was quite near the stage to one side, and as Rick Parfitt came over during one of the sings, decided to scream at him. Loudly. Initially it was just his name and then, later, [Heck knows why] 'I want your pants' [I was 12, I have since sought help].
Worse to come, the gig had been recorded for the BBC and was partly aired in a one hour show the next Year ... Luckily you can only hear me calling his name, but I have recently been sent [by a supposed mate] the full bootleg involving said 'pants' cry. To this day I've no idea if he heard it, but I hope to heck he doesnt realised it was me...
The next best happened at my SECOND Quo gig [the next Year actually...]: I had procured awful seats at the back of the hall but blagged my way down to the front rail where I stood rather happily. In fact, I got so excited that when the lads came on stage I screamed so hard I wet myself. And I'd had a litre of water before the show to prevent dehydration. I don't think anyone noticed... except that the folk next to me probably wondered why I stopped mid-scream...
There's millions more along those lines. But I'm too kind to let you suffer any more.

Oh, go on then...
Another time I was offered the chance to go and meet some of he band backstage, as a guest of the bass palyer.
Unfortunately, the bass player was still in the shower so I was asked by the security guy to sit outside the dressing room and wait to be called in.
Fine - assuming, [as you would] the shower was in the dressing room - and patiently sat, reading my tour programme, grinning inanely.
About 5 minutes later I heard the sound of patting feet coming up the corridor and looked round to see the bass player wandering up the corridor, fresh from the shower, wearing only a towel... He smiled and said 'Hi, Beth, I'll call you in a minute' while I just went 8 funny shades of red and jolly silent!
He got dressed incredibly quickly cause about 45 seconds later I was asked in and we all sat round drinking [I was only on water tho...] and chatting.
I then realised I'd missed the last train home so it was decided that rather than borrow some cash for a taxi [i couldnt afford to pay it back] I could hitch a lift with the lighting and catering crew bus. So as the bassist and I set to leave I held the door open for him and at the same time he opened the door for me. Only he's about 6'4" and held the top so, after much wrestling, he won!
He drove off home while I waited for the crew to finish and leave. About 2am[!!!!!!!] we set off on the bus, and it took us 2 hours to get 45 miles... By the time I got home and [sweet and innocent as I was...] I realised that, I'd been sat in the back of the bus with a few crew drinking tea and playing computer games, while the others had been down the front smoking various substances... I was 14 and got home stoned [not clever!!!].
Got home at 4am, was at school for 8am and just sat in the playgroud trying to make sense of a VERY surreal evening!
I'll never forget seeing the bassist acting as if nothing was out of the ordinary! Random.
