[Gandark] Prolly - just don't make a mess. I think actually the others might leave if they see that one down ... shows 'em we mean buisiness.

[Sharp]: *Does rock finisher to the half-frozen wolf* plowing it and maybe one or two others down also-in the process, via an impressive almost Indiana Jones sized boulder* "I can only do that once per battle,-and then only in optimal conditions... somebody else has gotta think of something,-or we're toast."

er, you can cast rock all you want if you like. Just say "*Sharp casts Rock on the wolves*" and wait to see how much damage that does. It's alot like participating in a traditional real-world RPG, actually
The remaining wolves retreat, but not with their tails between their legs ... it is as if they accomplished their objective(s) and are returning to their master(s) ... their trail leads south.
[Gandark] Well, it's dawn ... should we try to follow the wolf pack and get revenge, or uh, start going west?

*present Tobias stirs*
[future Tobias: I'd better hide. But before I do... *slips a ring onto Tobias' finger* Right. *hides*]
*present Tobias gets up* Whoargh... Hey, check out this ring! I feel... powerful... I mustn't have been much help, I'll head back and give y'all a hand. Bye! *vanishes into the past*
[future Tobias, who is actually present Tobias now: "That ring was powerful. Made me feel like I could take anyone on in a magical duel... Ah well. That's all in the past now... Onwards and upwards, or whatever. I say we go west, the wolves will come back if they come back, but we have a quest to complete. What say you all?]

[Sharp]: "Er, no complaints by me...(for once)."
*examines the ground...* "Hey, nice ring... say, isn't that a flame-ring? Don't just find those particularly anywhere,-or so I've heard..." : What,-no items? , dislike wolves now. Dislike that kind of a lot <-Just kidding

: , "That's just like..." *Here everyone else does a collective "Oh, no!"* "a game I'd once read about called Escape from Monkey Island, and I think it was by LucasArts."

*hasn't played aforementioned crappy LucasArts game, preserving proper Dungeon Master originality one again! *
Furthermore, but no items on this one. They retreated remember?
Oh wait .... there was that one that was frozen that was killed by the rock spell ...
On the dead wolf's left hind leg there is a strange metal band.
There are trails going in each of the four compass directions from here. Or at least they look rather like trails. But you know how it is in the woods....

[Sharp]: *looks at it* "Hey, there're little symbols (that look sorta like arrows) carved onto that band...I wonder what they mean?"
: Which way is it then I wonder?

[Gandark] Well, the plan was to go West ...
this is why I like having a party leader ... the PL can decisively move the party when it's time to go... but any way you guys want to make decisions is fine by me, so long as I know what everybody wants to do. My job's just to provide the consequences of your decisions.

[DM] Coming to the edge of the forest in the early morning sunilght reveals a suprisingly wide, shallow, cold and very fast river.
[Gandark] Wonder whether it's safe to cross...

[Sharp]: "I knew there had to be some source of water around here somewhere... Otherwise that mill back in town seems a lot more out of place than I suspected!" *Casts chains to make some supports* "I can hold them there for a couple hours just fine... anybody see like a snag to push over or somewhere to start felling logs (for planks/cross-pieces)?"
