Beta testers wanted for Elder Scrolls online!
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Apr 4, 2014
The system message today is a bit confusing. On the one hand, they welcome customers who've purchased the game from the ESO store - on the other hand, the state that
'For all customers eligible for Early Access, please note that we have extended the access period until Sunday, April 6th at 8 EDT/12 pm GMT.'
Different realms? Different servers?

What happened when I played for a bit this morning inhances my impression that the US Early Access server is somehow separate from the 'live' one:
I right-clicked the name of a gold spammer in the chat window and chose Report player. Instead of getting the usual options, I got an empty black window with a few symbols at the top. None of the symbols was for reporting a player.

Odd, nothing I did this morning had 'registered' so I had to do The Prophet's history lesson all over - makes me wonder if I was in limbo. Argh, I almost missed my bus trying to finish that quest!

On the NA (Nort American) server I'm on I just had four NPCs speak in German to me, but the text was in English. All other NPCs have spoken in English though, so it shouldn't be my settings causing it.

I like the way players tend to help each other to beat nasties without even bothering to group up - and still getting the end reward. Just stick around long enough, and you'll find yourself having a lot of help, as well as being able to provide help.

Yes, I like this casual grouping. It suits my style of play quite well as I don't want to commit to a full-on Guild but at the same time it's nice to play with others from time to time.
I've only had one bug so far, where monsters were there but invisible, but re-logging fixed it.

Only the once, on the Veiled Inheritance island. It sorted itself out though and I had a rather lovely time collecting all the resources while other people were running past doing the race quest!

I think things like that are not really bugs, it's a communication issue with the server, so a hardware problem rather than a software problem.

Good point Tav!
I've logged on and off a couple of times just to get some quests functioning.

Crap, ESO is starting to mess with my PC just the way LOTRO does - by seriously overheating certain parts of it - in a way games like Rift don't. And I've checked fans for dust. So what the in ESO started overheating my PC once it went live? Because I never had that problem during Beta or Early Access

I've met and spoken to an Ayleid - how cool is that?
He ssw right through me of course, so I 'fessed up - he seemed to think being so honest was 'refreshing'

So... I did have enough money to buy ESO. But then 8 LPs and a leather jacket happened.
Maybe next month.

I've gotten my mage a Winged Twilight. She's awfully good in battle, but between battles, she hums to herself, and mutters - which I find very amusing.

Woot - finally some social action! Made some friends today while teaming up for a dungeon that was recommended for at least five players, but we did it with just four us - not without dying, mind you, but we made it in the end!
