"WHat age do you think i am."
I've got you down for about 12, perhaps even 13 at a stretch.

Yeh, did you like Ace's Choice? Did you think that it was worthy to be up with Aaronovitch and Ian Briggs and Marc Platt.

I thought it was a brilliant yet flawed piece.
The author has clearly used a staccato, semi-iambic rhythm to emphasise the distorted nature of the characters' prceptions of reality. The subtle echoes of dialogue have an almost Hebrew quality, bringing to mind the intense post-modernist neo-novels of Joyce or the classical ebullience of Proust. The interplay of characters, each acting beyond the boundaries imposed by (e.g.) Survival, allows us to transcend this, incorporate that, and come to terms with the fundamental dichotomies of the other, and one is left with a profound and vivid insight into... whatever it was the story was about.

reminds self never to ask Gif for an opinion since it is almost impossible for me to tell the difference between his honest opinion and when he's taking the p.
I also can't tell the difference between the above post and something from Sokal

and some friendly advice for Researcher U12792173:
1) posting lots of replies to your own posts continually asking the same question or pushing the same issue is not likely to win you any friends. Anyone who wanted to read it will do so. Those who don't are unlikely to be persuaded by repeated exhortations to do so, or queries as to what they thought of it.
2) If people wish to comment they will do so. If they do not wish to comment they will not do so. A lack of comment is not in itself a comment on the worthiness or otherwise of your writings. Continually asking for comments is likely to bring a few short brief response or longer p taking responses just to get you to stop asking the questions. I doubt these are the responses you want
I know you want feedback on what you have written, but you're best of just posting the link and waiting. If nothing happens, well, nothing happens. Unfortunate but don't take it to heart. Oher people have their own agendas and timetables. Plus this is Hootoo and not a chat forum - I've seen people get feedback 5 yrs after they originally posted something. Patience is a virtue* as they say.
Oh, and links can be posted as just the A number - eg: A39724798
BTW, not read it myself, don't do fanfic.

have you read The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Or seen the film? Or the series?
Dr Who
U12792173 Posted Aug 20, 2008
I've seen the TV sho, seen the film, read the book, listened to the radio version, and I love it! I was inspired by it. And Douglas Adams's Whos were good too.

do you recall Arthur's response to the Vogon captain's poetry?

You might also want to Google on 'Kallisti', and meditate for a moment on my occasional religious affiliations.

Oh, and you should never, under any circumstances, take anything here more seriously than it deserves. That goes double for anything I post. Including this

I'm just here to say that i've now updated the second chapter and changed the ending. It features someone claiming to be an old friend meeting Len.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
