All of 2legs' multiple egos have to be able to deal with it, so it should be ok.

My long term aim to get h2g2 afforded the same status as wikipedia by my kindle - free roaming charges wherever i am - those of you who are xkcd fans will understand why this would both be funny, and very helpful.

Saddened that i can't do anything on the volunteer side (i'm not skilled enough by the looks of things) - therefore i shall continue to donate money (I'm sure the committee will need some to handle its side of things for the near future) and write articles

nbb - you've make really cool comments in Peer Review. For instance you know far more about mathematics than I do... and you are a published author here.

You can call me TC

It really is a "coming home" ... may I add my thanks and express my joy that such a solution has been found - one that puts h2g2 back into the hands of people who understand what it's about

will we revert to the original address of h2g2.com?

And seeing all the old founder members suddenly appearing in threads bringing cheerful tidings ... I wonder if we'll see Mark Moxon or Ashley Stewart, Abi, Peta, or Jim Lynn any time soon?

You can read Wiki on a kindle? How does one do that?

I don't know - all i know is that i've been told you can - i have little need for it, but access to h2g2 anywhere would be very helpful (and heavily used)

I have - i was actually considering writing my own entry

I hope I'm not tracked down and attacked by Noesis - my dad is a non-exec director of a company in direct competition (they are far more boring however, and would never consider buying something like h2g2)

Wow, this is all rather exciting/scary. Feel like our cosey little world is being shaken up and opened to the rest of the world. Good scary, but still scary. If this goes according to plan this could be really amazing and it would, needless to say, be really exciting to be a part of that, even a small part. Hope this is the change that reenergises the guide. Don't really know about the bidding process, but it seems from what I've read that the bbc made sure that they passed the mantle on to the most suitable candidate for the job, for which they deserve praise. Well done all round. Oh, and also, huge congrats to all the hard working guide volunteers who help keep this place afloat. I really hope this works for them as much as for anyone else.
