In order to rectify recent problems experienced by many Researchers this past few days, regarding loading, connection and sign-in, the Single Sign-on database will be closed for a few hours from midnight on Tuesday, 17th February, 2004. During this time, you will not be able to sign in to h2g2 (or any of the other DNA sites). However, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible in the early hours of Wednesday, 18th February. We thank you in advance for your patience.

I was just going to whine about the timing, but seeing as how I just got the bBCi error page twice trying to get here to do so...
Well, maybe I'll get some housework done. I just hope it's back up when I'm trying to get PaperBaby to go to sleep...

McKay, I hear the other 35% of the time is spent in light napping and shedding of hair.

V.V., read the announcement more carefully. The intention is not for the site to be offline for 24 hours - though *you* can be if you want to be.
