Mr Inertia - Now new, improved and mostly human!

What smiley - disco smiley??

Sorry Jim, another small moan (as far as I'm concerned anyway).....
When you scroll down, can you get the options on the left of the page to stay put when you scroll down the rest of the conversation? It's a bit of a pain having to go back to the top of the screen just to press the icon for "My Space"

Ta!!

Tube - the being being back for the time being

The smiley - disco that came with the smiley - towel and the others which were published prematurely and have since been taken away again. smiley - winkeye The smiley - disco was a bunch of colourful spots which cycled through some colour scheme.

When I look at the picture of today's Editor's choice: Has the graphical style of h2g2 changed, too?

"This is an h2g2 thread so I'll consider it suggested"

I wouldn't assume it's been noted. If it doesn't go in the Feature Suggestions Forum, it won't necessarily be processed...

This would require us to use frames, and they break BBC guidelines, so no, I'm afraid this isn't possible. smiley - sadface

I'm not sure, but it will be obvious enough if you visit the site when logged out...

Is this correct?
The Front Page (and other site-created pages like Feedback and the How-Tos) have a red header, Edited Entries have blue and personal spaces and conversation threads have green?

Colour coding for categories! I like it. Reminds me of aparthied.
I like the blue. I want to be blue. It's not gonna happen.

All seem to have similar secondary colours but the tone, hue and grey scale varies considerably. I'm getting several shades of yellow-typed-links-on-black over on the left column (not appearing as buttons per se), white space with black type for the body copy (links come up in blue type) and some grey-black on the left for the 'referenced sections' on the right. Something seems to be missing.
I don't see any real 'brown' anywhere.

I think I finally spotted the 'rivets', single pixel dots in each corner of the header box. Is that it?

The clickable smilies are neat smiley - biggrin and the powered by DNA logo is very cool (if somewhat lost at the bottom of the page smiley - erm).
Too old to change, I think I'll stay an alabaster. But it'll be fun looking around; a change is as good as a rest they say.

Sure is... and remember, we haven't aimed this skin at people who are happy using Goo or Alabaster, as they can continue to use Goo or Alabaster. It's aimed at people who like something that looks like Brunel, weirdly enough. smiley - winkeye

I think you've got the hang of the colours, jwf. And you can change the colour scheme of your Personal Space with the BRUNEL tag too - see <./>GuideML-BRUNEL</.>. smiley - artist

I quite like it I think, not sure yet though. I don't like that clicked-on links are the same colour as non-clicked-on links, it is hard to see what I have read and what I haven't (especially with the conversations gadget being broken). I so took that functionality for granted (thought all links did it) that I couldn't figure out what was wrong until somebody mentioned it in one of these conversations...

smiley - ok

Clicked on links (in most cases) are a little darker than unclicked links. But possibly not different enough.

I'm sure they are different in the tst environment smiley - winkeye but in my space the conversations and messages are yellow on black and after they have been clicked on they are...er....yellow on black. They go white while they have focus but then revert back.

In the My Conversations gadget they are white on black and after clicking on them they are...er...white on black. While the clicked link has focus it is pale yellow but as soon as you click somewhere else it reverts back to white.

Ask h2g2 is all yellow on black regardless of where I have clicked - not making it up, honest! I do like Brunel, but that stuff makes h2g2 harder to use...

I'm not sure i like it either, the rivets aren't noticable unless you know they are there, and the page is inconsistent. To me it looks like the kind of skin you might use before you launch the site as a beta. And one more point, is it just me or do the links not go to the right pages sometimes, the URL in the status and address bars is correct the page page the loads is wrong. Probably just me, maybe i should clear my cache or something.
