The author of this posting used smiley - handcuffs, but how? Is there a hidden trick?

19 August 2002: DNA 1.10 Released

Post 116

Robert

There's a shortcode, O-O (in lowercase), for the handcuffs smiley. Unfortunatly, this means that no-one (nO-One, in lowercase) shows up as, erm, no-one...

Is that what you mean? This has been reported, BTW.

And the above paragraphs won't make sense after this's got fixed...

Following the link of post 115 leads to a brunel-like forum, showing only the postings and nothing - I repeat: nothing else! Even the BBCi-head is missing!

BTW, the text appears in white on black.

mmm, that's interesting. It's because the link was to a FFM type page. the real link is F48874?thread=179086&post=2129730#p2129730

Isn't FFM a frame? Brunel doesn't support frames so no wonder it didn't work!

Gnomon - time to move on

Somebody used the wrong format for a link to a Forum. This caused the skin to turn black. The correct format for such a link is F followed by the conversation number followed by ?thread= and the thread number.
