The meet has an official page. A8742369 WooHoo! How fancy is that?
Thanks to Jodan for once again pulling my fat out of the fire on the GML. But this time it wasn't my fault. Really! Well not totally.

Nope, didn't win millions, but I am the proud owner of a new love seat on the sun porch as a result of our trip. We don't have room for a full sized sofa out there, but the love seat fits perfectly. Lord C. finally got his red couch.

Of course this red love seat means that a lot of the decor on the sun porch will have to be changed. However, I bought fabric with a red background and tropical flowers and leaves on it last summer. Guess what? The reds match perfectly! Heck of a deal!

I do, however, have Pink Floyd and Enigma.

Let me make one thing very clear. I can tolerate Billy Joel. I can even listen to Barry Manilow if I've had enough wine. But.....but....under NO CIRCUMSTANCES will I listen to Johnny Cash, Ernest Tubb, or Porter Waggoner.

Why would anyone in their right mind listen to Porter Waggoner?
I promise not to bring Willie and Waylon either. (Not that I have that many of their offerings.) How about Yanni? Or Kenny G.? If you want those, I will have to go out and buy them, but hey! anything for the Meet! I do have some things that go well with wine though..............

I don't do Willie and Waylon either. I can't stand traditional country. It causes me to break out in hives. Remember Hank Snow's toupees? I don't mind the bluegrass instrumentals. Just keep the nasal, flat vocalists out of earshot.

Actually we can play my classic rock CDs. I came of age in the 60's. That's what I like.

Santana's good. I like some of the southern rock Mark used to play too.
My era was the fifties, but most of that music is REALLY dated. They use it for pledging on PBS for crying out loud!!
I do like the folk music of the 60s though. I have quite a bit of that and also have several Celtic CDs that have good stuff on them.

You can't possibly lump Billy Joel with Barry Manilow?!! Gag me with a spoon, I can't stand Barry Manilow. I'd listen to the Piano Man any day though.

I'm trying to decide how to answer "You can't possible lump Billy Joel with Barry Manilow?!!" without offending anyone. So I won't.

There must be a lot of Barry Manilow fans out there someplace considering how many records he sold. I've never actually met one, though. But I have met many Billy Joel fans.
I like folk music, too. Remember the Limelighters? They came to Pitt State for a concert and Lady C took me. That was the first concert I ever attended. *hopes it was actually the Limelighters*
