Actually, so do I.
I see SBVM as people willing to speak out when anything strikes them as unjust, wrong, petty or just plain silly. I also the the current LeKZaphobia as being all of those things. Some SBVM members don't. That's fine.
Aren't we supposed to be thinking for ourselves? If any of us expected all the others to agree with hir opinions and share all of hir priorities, I don't think any of us would hang around. If we all have any one thing in common, it's an unwillingness to be told what to think.

::chuckles warily at everyone:: well, i'm outta here.
but following up on subcom's idea, i've started a pre-emptive character-witness thread on my space, where people can attest to my basically harmless nature, the fact that i'm really a , and that most of my friends come from threads like "tongue twisters", and "questions only", and i didn't want to be involved but i don't like whisper campaigns and gossip.
a person of truely odd insight determined that i am l**z, and has announced that in the "ban satyagraha" thread. his word seemed not to have an overpowering influence, and since tube already said he's l**z, that's ok then. sorry to bring up an unpalatable subject.
i'd like to go back to having fun, but it looks like all in all it was just another brick in my wall...

The only person who seems to have been confused about whether SBVM was a subset of FoLKZ is Barton. Everybody else was fairly clear.

And my remark was offered as a joke which everyone seemed to find in poor taste. What can I say, potentially anyone it appears can be LeKZ or could be posting for them.
'I'm Not LeKZ' is simply something that anyone can say in this community hoping to be believed.
On the other hand, as I have said at TrusT, if one stands around at a party with an empty glass in hir hand, one should not say "I'm not drunk." and have expectations of being believed.
I'm sorry that you all were so caught up in this current situation that you couldn't find the humor in what I was doing and that I couldn't do it in such a way that you could find the humor.

I am unsubscribing from all on-line and off-line discussions of LeKZ. For that reason I am going to disappear off this thread for a while.
I'll be back when the dust has settled.

Actually, when I joined the SBVM, I was under the impression it would be a Libertarian Quilting Bee, with occasional dirty jokes and inspirational Bible verses. Imagine my disappointment...

Joke:
how many moderators does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Twenty-five:
One to question the use of the word "screw", one to check if the light bulb is copyrighted, one to call a meating to discuss what to do with the old bulb, twenty to attand that meating and be split 50-50, one to remove the light bulb and the socket and plaster over the hole so nobody can ever question the bulb's potency again, and one to question the term "potency".
Inspirational Bible Verse:
"And it was good." somewhere in the first chapter of Genisis...
peace.

"How many moderators does it take to screw in a light bulb?"
Amusing but misplaced. Moderators are like laborers. Our complaints should be directed to the architect(s), not the poor sap who's only following orders.
Also note that h2g2 staff should be considered somewhere between the laborers and the architects. Maybe h2g2 staff would be the construction foremen? In some ways, they're only following orders as well. If they had wanted a site this restricted, then they would have made the rules more strict before BBC took over.
Q. How many BBC execs does it take to ignore your request for a burnt out light bulb to be replaced?
A. [Sound of crickets in an empty ampitheatre.]

If I had eight nipples, I wouldn't hesitate to think that estrogen cycles were *somehow* an issue... But c'mon guys. I was vocal when Moderation was new (still got my beret), and when Lucinda the Colonel and NBY were all suspended (tho' on the wrong side for 2 outta 3) - what's the deal?
By naming yourselves, you seem to be saying that everyone who doesn't put themself on this little list you're making equates the SBVM with LeKZ issues. Does that mean that each of us has to stand up and say that we recognize that SBVM isn't just a H2G2 incarnation of FoLKZ?
Well pissondat. I think the SBVM is just an H2G2 incarnation of antidisestablishmentarianists, come back from the dead to insist that they're not just a novelty word anymore.
In other words, I think it's rude to feel the need to have to state your non-FoLKZ status. SBVM is whatever it wants/needs to be, and if that's unclear to anyone, then that's their problem. I just joined so I could put it on my business card, because it really impresses trannies in the opium dens where I prefer to abuse myself.
There, I think that was sufficiently incoherent.
