Ah, all the trims and trappings of Christmas! For some people it's the tree that does it. For others, it's tinsel, or the smell of chestnuts roasting on a natural-gas-fired radiator. Some even like to pretend that 'We only really do it for the kids...'

But when it comes to Advent calendars, it really is for the kids. It brings out the child in all of us. It's not uncommon to see adults sneaking a peek to see what hides behind each window, then trying to close it as if it had never been opened. 1

But let's face it. There are people out there who:


A) Don't have kids
B) Have kids who have flown the nest
or
C) Are too downright stingy to go out and pay money for Advent calendars.
