*continues watching YClept, but thinks quickly* Albert, I do not believe that killing Mr Gillings is the best option. As YClept said earlier, that won't hurt him. And how much worse would it be if he took over, say, me. A quick suicide and you would all be dead. *briefly turns her head to Benjamin and gives a wry smile* And that would be a best case scenario, I fear. *winks at Benjamin, then turns back to YClept* Well, fiend, what do you plan to do now?

*considers* But there is an unknown here. Mr. Gilling has never seen the skematics for a fully powered up Procyon Military android cat. You don't it's capabilities, do you Gilling? Are you prepared to deal with her? You can't...how did you put it Sarah?...possess her, she's not alive in the strict sense. All I need do is toss her a few powered items and she gains abilities that frighten me and should frighten you. I am willing to fall before her might, just to throw you to the cat. She'll spare Sarah and Lizzie, after all, she likes them.
I think we should talk abou this.

if Gilling's spell worked
~ The soulstone falls, skittering across the floor, and slides somewhere under one of the casks at the fore end of the cargo hold. ~
If Gilling's spell didn't work
~ The soulstone disappears up the hatch. ~

*Lizzie speaks quietly and calmly, but her voice wavers, betraying her fear.*
Has Capt. McClellan said anything?

*glances to her daughter, then returns her attention to YClept* I do not know, Lizzie dear. But he has obviously been active and causing Mr Gillings some distress. *smirks a bit* Perhaps you should give the cat some power, Albert. I'm sure that Lizzie and I can talk Puss into sparing all of you who do not wish to harm us... *arches an eyebrow at YClept*

*says nothing about the cat, but realises there is more to it than meets the eye and it slowly dawns on him that he has discovered a new found respect for the moth eaten creature*
Give it up Gillings. From what I believe, the course of action you are currently pursuing could end up in the destruction of this entire ship. Look around you. Can't you smell the fumes in the air? You are a fool, sir!

Is it just me, or do we have about ten spells up in the air that we're waiting for GL to roll dice for tomorrow? Does anyone else feel we should put the game on hold until we all know exactly what's happening?
*Yclept grins through Gillings' face*
Ah, my captain. I never intended for this body to survive the ordeal that I am about to put us all through. As a matter of fact, the Gillings that everyone once knew and loved will be quite dead after the spell that I need to use to reclaim my original body. Although it would be amusing to keep trophies of this last battle between the forces of good and evil.
Yes, those who oppose me may very well find a spot for them on my mantle when I'm through, after I give Gillings a place of honor.

We do have an awful lot up in the air right now - spells and actions. Looks like Gary didn't get a chance to log on from the library this morning. I'm good with waiting if everyone else is...

Afgncaap5 Posted Oct 31, 2001
I'll wait too, unless there's a resounding chorus of disagreement. Think we should mention it to the people on deck?
Cargo Hold
Babel17 Posted Oct 31, 2001
Fine by me to wait until tomorrow, actually suits me a bit better to be honest.
Cargo Hold
Afgncaap5 Posted Oct 31, 2001
Good for me, too. I'll alert the people on the Deck that action's paused down here.

Oh, I see. Yes, those darn slips of the tongue. Hmmm. Well, I've still got my "Any Weapon Used Against Me Should Become Too Heavy For The Wielder To Carry" spell, maybe that'll do some good.
Nice ship, this. You know, this Cargo Hold would be perfect with a ping-pong table. Or foos ball.
*This may post more than once, sorry*
