*clicking finger hovers over the 'Private thread for Lizzie Briggs'*

The suspense is killing me... but I think I'll wait to read it until Lil confirms that she'll take part.

Not knowing much about Johan - any of them smiley - winkeye - I'd say go and watch Eric the Viking a few times. That should give you a good laugh, if not any real clue about your character. smiley - laugh

You just have to keep thinking: "What would Goodschad do (or say) in this situation" . Before long, you'll be at work and have to think: "What would Marv do in this situation". smiley - biggrin

Light furs would be good, perhaps with lots of vent holes.

*Laughs suddenly as a picture of Rachuel (how DO you spell that?) Welch pops into his head - you know, the one where she played someone in prehistoric times, wearing a fur bikini-type thing.*

Don't worry, Marv, you'll do fine. In first year University level acting courses they make you figgure out your character's motivations and goals for yourself. You've got them listed for you by GL. Just keep them in mind, and act accordingly.

what?! i'm going to have to be a stereotypical drama student and go around asking, "what's my motivation???" smiley - winkeye

Stanislavski is considered the "father" of most modern acting styles. His book, An Actor Prepares, is one of the staples of the Acting I class. I would suggest picking up his other two books, also. (Not that I can remember their names right now, of course.) They focus on different aspects of the theatre experience. I think that Irv wrote an article involving Stanislaski - or was it someone else? - a while back. Should be around here somewhere. smiley - smiley

I'm sure that you'll work out Johan, Marv. Inspiration often strikes from the oddest places. smiley - winkeye

I'm ready to start too. smiley - bigeyes This is going to be sooo much fun, I can hardly wait...
