There are actually 7 watches: 5 of 8 bells and 2 of 4 bells. They're called the morning watch, forenoon watch, afternoon watch, first dog-watch, second dogwatch, first night watch and second night watch. The dog watches are the short ones and run from 4pm to 6pm and 6pm to 8pm respectively. The dog-watches get their name from the Latin phrase regarding twilight, 'inter canem et lupum' ('between the dog and the wolf'), and were introduced so that the same group wouldn't always end up on the same watches.

Jade - why are you telling him here? Simply post in the Deck thread that you head to his cabin and wait for him. Or go to where he is and tell him you'd like to talk to him in his cabin, or ask someone else on deck to tell him to meet you there.
